Refcom Elite is a voluntary best practice company registration scheme that has been running since 1994 to promote environmentally responsible refrigerant management. We recognised early on the need for employers to better control the use of refrigerant and prevent their release to atmosphere.
In 2009, Refcom Certification Limited was appointed by the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) to operate a certification body under the stationary equipment provisions of the Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases Regulations.
